Orange-Scented Green Beans With Toasted Almonds
Ingredients:
1 pounds green beans, rimmed
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/8 teaspoon dried orange peel (or orange extract)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Steam or cook green beans until desired tenderness. (Place a steamer basket in a large saucepan, add 1 inch of water and bring to a boil. Put green beans in the basket and steam until tender, about 6 minutes.)
Toss the green beans in a large bowl with oil, orange peel (or extract), salt, pepper and almonds.
