"P.F. Chang's" Lettuce Wraps
Make P.F. Chang's delicious wraps in your own kitchen! Lettuce wraps like these, make the perfect appetizer, lunch, or even dinner!
3-4 Tbsp zero calorie sugar substitute
1/2 cup hot water (not boiling)
3 Tbsp light soy sauce
2 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
2 Tbsp ketchup (without corn syrup)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp sesame oil
Directions: In a small bowl, dissolve sugar substitute in hot water. Blend in remaining ingredients. Refrigerate until rest of the dish is ready.
1 tsp hot water
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard (or 1 tsp dry mustard)
2 garlic cloves, minced
Directions: In a small bowl, mix all until dissolved. Set aside.
Stir Fry Sauce:
2 Tbsp light soy sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar substitute
1/2 tsp rice wine vinegar
Directions: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Stir Fry Meat:
2 Tbsp sesame oil
3 Tbsp olive oil, divided
1 pound lean ground turkey (OR 3 uncooked chicken breasts, cut into 1/2" cubes)
1 (8 oz) can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped fine
1/2 cup minced mushrooms
1/2 onion, minced
3 garlic cloves, minced
Directions: In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil and 2 Tbsp olive oil over medium high heat. Add chicken or ground turkey and stir fry 5 minutes.
Push meat aside and add remaining 1 Tbsp oil. Add remaining ingredients.
Add stir fry sauce. Cook 4 minutes, stirring frequently.
Mix garlic/mustard sauce and dipping sauce together - 1/2 tsp at a time until desired flavor.
Serve with cup-shaped lettuce leaves, like butter lettuce, boston or iceburg
Optional: Add rice noodles, cooked and chopped at last minute for topping (omit on 5 & 1 plan)
