Turkey Taco Salad
1 pkg (19 oz) lean ground turkey (93% or 99% lean)
1 pkg (1.25 oz) reduced sodium taco seasoning, or 1/4 cup homemade seasoning
1/4 cup water
For each salad:
2 cups salad greens
1/2 cup tomatoes, chopped
2 Tbsp low fat or fat free shredded cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp salsa (optional)
1 tsp low fat or fat free sour cream (optional)
Cook turkey in a skillet over medium-high heat until done (about 7-8 minutes). Drain excess grease. Place back into skillet, and add water and taco seasoning. Simmer 5 minutes.
Prepare each salad. Top with ground turkey.
