Frosting
This frosting is excellent for cupcakes, cakes, or cookies.
Ingredients:
3 cups powdered sugar substitute
1 stick (1/2 cup) low-fat margarine
1/3 cup fat-free milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- Add powdered sugar, Splenda, margarine, milk and vanilla to a small mixing bowl and beat on medium speed to blend until smooth. This will take a few minutes, because the Splenda® takes a while to dissolve.
- Frost your goodies.
Yield: About 3 cups, enough to frost 24 cupcakes
Variations:
Colored Frosting:
Add 8 -10 drops food coloring
Chocolate Frosting
Add 2/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
Cream Cheese Frosting
Add 8 ounces of fat free cream cheese, softened
Lemon Frosting
Add 1/4 cup lemon juice
